This article explores the importance of field trips to the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park in the context of Geography, addressing the pedagogical benefits of these activities for primary and secondary school students. Visits to this protected area offer a unique opportunity for students to experience the natural and geological diversity of the region, deepening their knowledge about the dynamics of coastal ecosystems, environmental issues and land use planning. The paper examines the methodologies applied during the visits, highlighting the integration between theoretical concepts of Geography and practical learning in the field, in addition to analyzing the implications of these experiences in the development of critical skills and in encouraging respect for environmental conservation. By contextualizing the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park as a pedagogical resource, the article proposes a model of field trip that fosters environmental awareness and reflection on contemporary challenges related to sustainability and the sustainable use of natural resources.
