Author Guidelines

SUBMISSIONS

Registration in the system is mandatory, providing access. You need to login and create a password. After completing the procedure, you will have access to the submission of the work and its follow-up. All this virtually. For further clarification, please contact us by email.

Submission type

The International Journal Semiarid will receive two types of papers:

1) Article

2) Technical report

Conditions for submission

With regard to the Article or the Technical Report, note that:

• The contribution must be original and unpublished, and must not be being evaluated for publication by another journal.
• The submission file must be in Microsoft Word format.
• Figures and tables must be inserted in the text.
• The text follows the style standards mentioned here and within the scope of the Journal.
• The submission of the text will be published after the “blind peer review” and its acceptance.
• The text must comply with spelling and grammar rules.
• All information and grammatical language is the responsibility of the authors.

Guidelines for Authors

The International Journal Semiarid accepts unpublished articles and technical reports in the various areas that refer to the Semiarid environment.

1) Articles: result of scientific research, whether theoretical, methodological or case study.

2) Technical Report: All the results of scientific research, whether theoretical, methodological or case study. Maps produced in dissertations and theses or results of scientific initiation research or graduation course conclusion products; Science Fair Results; Methodological proposals for the development of teaching in academic or Basic Education. Technical Products that enhance research in the laboratory or in the field. Opinion or Technical Note.

3) Authors: among the authors it is MANDATORY the participation of personnel with complete higher education, whether undergraduate, master or doctor.

The work sent to the International Journal Semiarid must follow the rule:

Article: 9 to 40 pages (including bibliography)

Technical Report: at least 03 pages up to a total of 40 pages

Formatting Required

-The works must be sent in .doc extension (compatible with Microsoft Office Word 97-2003) and must have the following formatting:

- Title: In bold, Times New Roman size 14;

- Body of the Text: Times New Roman size 12. The text must be divided without numbering and with subtitles (font size 12, bold and without tabs);

- Lines: 1.5 cm;

- Sheet: A4 size;

- Margins: Lower and Upper: 2.0 cm / Right and Left: 2.5 cm;

- Indented quote: 4 cm indent and Times New Roman font size 10;

- Figure titles: Times New Roman size 10;

- Footer: No footnotes

General Formatting

ARTICLE

• The articles will contain from 9 to 40 pages, the file must be sent in word format.
• Suggests that the text should be organized in the following sequence: Title, Authors, author information, Abstract, Introduction, Material and Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusions, Acknowledgments and References.
• The title must be written in capital letters, centered and in bold (Time New Roman font, size 14, single line spacing). Leave a space and then add the authors.
• Authors' names must be written in full, in small letters, the full name(s) of the component(s) of the work team, institution, e-mail and ORCID (Source Times New Roman, size 10
• Qualifications such as: education, Institution of origin, address and e-mail, must be presented immediately below the authors, with a space between the authors and the same. Use superscript increasing numerical call to indicate the information of the respective authors. This information must be written in Times New Roman font, size 8 and centered;
• Tables should not exceed one page and should be centered, without shifting cells;

Photographs must be inserted as an image, the legends of figures and tables must follow ABNT norms, be self-explanatory and concise. The table information must be in 10-point font;

• Scientific names will be written in Italics. When present in the title, the scientific name must be typed, also in italics, in lower case, with only the first letter capitalized.
• Bibliographic references must be standardized according to the ABNT Standards, listed in alphabetical order of the authors' surname, without numbering. Abbreviations for journal and periodical titles should not be used.
• Articles and technical reports must be preceded by two abstracts, being Portuguese and English.
• The author is responsible for the spelling, grammar and text correction, and must insert in an annex, in a specific area (metadata), a statement from the professional responsible for the correction.

TECHNICAL PRODUCT

• The technical product deals with products resulting from research, reports, technical advice; maps; mockups, mind maps, social mapping, Science Fair products; products of creative methodologies and the like.

The text must contain a minimum of 3 pages and a maximum of 40 pages;

• It is suggested to be organized in the sequence: Title, Authors, author information, Abstract, Abstract, Introduction, Material and Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusions, Acknowledgments and References.
• The title must be written in capital letters, centered and in bold (Time New Roman font, size 12, single line spacing). Leave a space and then add the authors.
• Authors' names must be written in full, in small letters, the full name(s) of the component(s) of the work team (Font Times New Roman, size 10, first author must be underlined in italics, single line spacing);
• Qualifications such as: education, Institution of origin, address and e-mail, must be presented immediately below the authors, with a space between the authors and the same. DECLARATION OF COPYRIGHT

• Authors who publish in this journal agree to keep the copyright and grant International Journal Semiarid the right to publish, unpublished, institutional simultaneously and licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License, which allows the sharing of the work with acknowledgment of the authorship of the author. work and initial publication in this journal.
• Authors are authorized to assume additional contracts separately, for non-exclusive distribution of the version of the work published in this journal or in an institutional repository or as a book chapter), with acknowledgment of authorship and initial publication in this journal.
• Authors are allowed online distribution of their publication;
• The authors are entirely responsible for the content contained in the manuscript published in the International Journal Semiarid.
• Authors are responsible for writing, whether in content, text review and translations, being able to accompany the revisions attesting to their reviewers, when necessary.

O International Journal Semiarid receberá dois tipos de trabalhos:

• Artigo
• Relatório técnico

Condições para submissão

No que concerne ao Artigo ou ao Relatório Técnico, observar que:

• A contribuição deve ser original e inédita, não devendo estar sendo avaliada para publicação por outra revista.
• O arquivo da submissão deverá estar em formato Microsoft Word.

• As figuras e tabelas devem estar inseridas no texto.
• O texto segue os padrões de estilo aqui mencionados e no escopo da Revista.
• O envio do texto será publicado mediante a “avaliação pelos pares cega" e o seu aceite.
• O texto deve estar de acordo com as normas ortográficas e gramaticais.
• Todas as informações e linguagem gramatical é de responsabilidade do autores.

Diretrizes para Autores

O International Journal Semiarid aceita artigos e relatórios técnicos inéditos nas diversas áreas que se refere ao ambiente Semiárido

1) Artigos: resultado de pesquisa científica, seja de nível teórico, metodológico ou estudo de caso.

2) Relatório Técnico: Todo o resultado de pesquisa científica, seja de nível teórico, metodológico ou estudo de caso. Mapas produzidos em dissertações e teses ou resultados de pesquisas de iniciação científica ou produtos de conclusão de curso de graduação; Resultados de Feira de Ciências; Propostas metodológicas ao desenvolvimento do ensino na acadêmica ou Educação Básica. Produtos Técnicos que aprimorem a pesquisa em laboratório ou no campo. Parecer ou Nota Técnica.

3) Autores: dentre os autores é OBRIGATÓRIO a participação de pessoal de nível superior completo, seja graduação, mestre ou doutor.

O trabalho enviado para o International Journal Semiarid deverá seguir a norma:

Artigo: 9 a 40 páginas (incluindo bibliografia)

Relatório Técnico: no mínimo 03 laudas até o total de 40 páginas

Formatação Exigida

-Os trabalhos devem ser enviados em extensão .doc (compatível com Microsoft Office Word 97-2003) e devem ter a seguinte formatação:

- Título: Em negrito, Times New Roman tamanho 14;

- Corpo do Texto: Times New Roman tamanho 12. O texto deve ser dividido sem numeração e com subtítulos (fonte tamanho 12, negrito e sem tabulação);

- Entrelinhas: 1,5 cm;

- Folha: tamanho A4;

- Margens: Inferior e Superior: 2,0 cm / Direita e Esquerda: 2,5 cm;

- Citação recuada: Recuo de 4 cm e fonte Times New Roman tamanho 10;

- Títulos de figuras: Times New Roman tamanho 10;

- Rodapé: Sem notas de rodapé

Formatação Geral

ARTIGO

• Os artigos conterão de 9 a 40 páginas, o arquivo deverá ser enviado em formato word.
• Sugere que o texto deverá ser organizado na sequência: Título, Autores, informações dos autores, Abstrat, Introdução, Material e Método, Resultados e Discussão, Conclusões, Agradecimentos e Referências.
• O título deverá ser inscrito em letras maiúsculas, centralizado e em negrito (fonte Time New Roman, tamanho 14, espaçamento simples entre linhas). Deve-se deixar um espaço e acrescentar, em seguida, os autores.
• Os nomes dos Autores devem ser escritos por extenso, em letras minúsculas, o(s) nome(s) completo(s) do(s) componente(s) da equipe de trabalho, instituição, e-mail e ORCID (Fonte Times New Roman, tamanho 10
• As qualificações tais como: escolaridade, Instituição de origem, endereço e correio eletrônico, deverão ser apresentadas, imediatamente abaixo dos autores, com um espaço entre os autores e as mesmas. Utilizar chamada numérica crescente sobrescrita para indicação das informações dos respectivos autores. Estas informações devem ser escritas na Fonte Times New Roman, tamanho 8 e centralizado;
• As tabelas não deverão exceder a uma página e deverão ser centradas, sem deslocamento de células;
  Fotografias deverão ser inseridas como imagem, as legendas das figuras e tabelas deverão seguir as normas da ABNT, ser auto-explicativas e concisas. As informações da tabela devem ser em fonte 10;
• Os nomes científicos serão inscritos em Itálico. Quando presente no título o nome científico deverá ser digitado, também em itálico, em letras minúsculas, só com a primeira letra maiúscula.
• As referências bibliográficas, devem ser normalizadas de acordo com as Normas da ABNT, listadas em ordem alfabética do sobrenome dos autores, sem numeração. Não devem ser usados abreviações para títulos de revistas e periódicos.
• Os artigos e os relatórios técnicos devem ser precedidos de dois resumos, sendo português e inglês.
• O autor é responsável pela correção ortográfica, gramatical e textual, devendo inserir em anexo, em área específica (metadados), declaração do profissional responsável de correção.

PRODUTO TÉCNICO

• O produto técnico trata de produtos resultantes de pesquisas, relatórios, parecer técnico; mapas; maquetes, mapas mentais, mapeamento social, produtos de Feira de Ciências; produtos de metodologias criativas e similares.
  O texto deverá conter no mínimo de 3 laudas e no máximo de 40 laudas;
• Sugere ser organizado na sequência: Título, Autores, informações dos autores, Resumo, Abstratc, Introdução, Material e Método, Resultados e Discussão, Conclusões, Agradecimentos e Referências.
• O título deverá ser inscrito em letras maiúsculas, centralizado e em negrito (fonte Time New Roman, tamanho 12, espaçamento simples entre linhas). Deve-se deixar um espaço e acrescentar, em seguida, os autores.
